The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 作为喜剧电影，没有尿点，也没多少尬点。
导演想表达的太多了，想表达励志、青春、友情、爱情、人生的追求，想嘲讽女二的那个女儿，搞笑的政治正确作风，想嘲讽女主一心想追到的性感男神其实是个出轨成性的大渣男，咱们就是说，这部电影太杂糅。

布兰妮和艾薇儿的歌一出直接拉回从前，看完有点儿怀念千禧年的那种欧美青春校园剧了。虽然是爆米花电影，但其中对比20年前后的流行文化和政治正确还挺有趣的。
