The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 不会有保护自己的魔法
大卫·洛维的新片，这次没有在美国现当代社会的语境中讲故事，而是换到了英国的古代传说中。或许，洛维更适合这种奇幻故事。
弟弟与哥哥漫长的告别，第三幕笔锋一转，以对未尽之作毫不完善的演绎总结这一波三折的"魂归故里"，在粗糙的背景板下略过了人生的跨度，乡愁中更增添了许多遗憾。
