The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 故事就三星，演技真的一来就很沉重。可以带入进去，20年，付出的东西，一个拥抱她就无缘无悔吗？
翻拍09年的英剧，桑德拉·布洛克将角色演绎得极佳，几乎全片都围绕着她，她的情绪、痛苦和感受非常敏感。出狱后根本找不到自己在社会上的位置。
拜托国内的导演不要翻拍，不要去消解女性的苦难。
“幸福的秘密是自由，自由的秘密是勇气。”
就是这个音乐，搭配的太糟糕了。每次一想起开头，我就知道，卡点要来了。。。最震撼的话即是片尾。
最后的字幕:在看这部电影的期间，有8个女人被强奸。。
剧情夸张，硬塞了诸多无谓的戏剧冲突，想从头到尾吸引观众的目光是不能依靠这种幼稚手段的，这只会让人产生厌烦情绪而已，同样的弊病还出现在配乐的使用上，配乐一刻不停的电影，真是很难顶。

中规中矩。受害者通过暴力行动推动高层正视体制问题，没什么新鲜事，节奏四平八稳。电影工作者的心肠滚烫，能提出问题也就尽责了。

番茄电影YYDS！无言，现实永远不可能有这样的过程的结果，女性总理、内疚的警察、为了强奸法律不够有力的游行、为“罪犯”慷慨激昂的统治者、法律终于被纠正的结果…你得到的只能是他们竭力掩盖，指鹿为马，邪恶从未被得到纠正，受害者被捂嘴，围观者逐渐散去因为外部事件继续开始着“厉害了我的锅”。明天依旧是个美好的明天..
It won't be real
讲故事的方式还不错，细节和情感都处理的挺好。
现实中的影子太多了：被性侵的独身女性，家庭中被压榨的女性，对女性优柔寡断情绪影响工作的刻板印象，苍蝇一样的媒体，只考虑选票的政客，结局太过美好。
但该电影绝大部分都放在博弈上
故事很简单，反转也没有多强烈，只是故事外盒下包装的世态炎凉真是冷彻人心。
一方面剧情狗血，一方面女主深沉内敛的表演和人物性格，真的一点割裂。尤其是镜头语言上突然的暖光突然的虚化，真的就是风格不统一。
5分。不管演技咋样，剧情推不动啊。为妹顶罪的姐姐坐牢出狱后找妹妹的故事。在我看来，妹妹误杀别人，姐姐完全可以不去顶罪，五岁的小姑娘还能去坐牢不成？美国不知道，国内不就是教育一下家长就领回家了。美国也不可能给五岁娃判刑吧？既然和妹妹感情好，想要照顾妹妹，不离开她才是最好的方式吧？况且，美国法官判案不看证据？扳机上谁的指纹很清楚吧。这块逻辑过不去，我觉得电影不行。
