The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 甚是唏嘘，而这类宏大叙事的作品，要很具备实力的编导才能实现，虽未能十分满意，导演以90的高龄，还是能运用音乐和画面的牵引下，观众被卷入一种深层的悲伤。
经过上半部的折磨，下半部果断调成倍速，居然还是觉得节奏慢，典型的装x片

单就电影而言，我只喜欢它的荒诞不经和中世纪欧洲的布景
如果不了解一点背景就一定会一头雾水的电影，海报也会加剧这种莫名。而稍稍了解一点后又可以立即感觉到其中倾注的情感与复杂内容：藉由皮兰德娄的死亡与身后复杂旅程，注入对时代变化与故人离去及死亡话题的哲学思考，再由未完成的故事和创作，带出对哥哥的纪念。内容的嵌套和色彩的变化增加了层次，会令人回想起如《恺撒必须死》等精彩前作，为艺术生涯增添新的内容。
戴夫帕特尔实在太帅了，好吃这一款的♂。电影像诗歌，但是形式主义有些太重了。
依然令人着迷的诡谲氛围感，透着每个人不得不面对的孤独。
还挺不错的，电影院观感也很棒。A24风格显眼，小成本拍出了史诗大作的味道很不容易，服化道摄影配乐都相当加分。由于事先了解了故事原型，整体理解没有什么太大障碍，以至于古英语和咬文嚼字也并不觉得有什么太大的问题。些许细节不错，几个原创场景也值得拿来具体分析。全片动物戏都很加分，从开场的驴鸭互动到后来的狐狸角色都有点戳到我…还有就是片中有不少很冷的笑点正中我下怀了，不过全场鸦雀无声可能还是我比较奇怪吧…
我不想做一个标准要求及其高的观影人哦！其实这个片子也就三星的水平，可是我真的好喜欢狗狗，看到狗狗的片子就会毫不犹豫点开。世界上如果真的有红色狗狗也不错！
The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though

抛弃掉许多不合理的情景，这部电影是非常适合带小朋友观看的，单纯的新奇感，单纯的可爱。
很多隐喻符号意识流的东西，不懂用典会看得云山雾罩。
