The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 一部传记片都可以被说成是非主流、父权、奥斯卡奖阴谋，救命。
可是抄得不好，摄影机靠理查德或者大威都不够近，难以打动人。加上夹带了不少私货，观感直线下降。

典型的被美化的商业冲奥片，聚焦的人物有点混乱，与其说是传记片，不如说是家庭片，整体结构四平八稳，没大问题。时代背景加诸他们身上的，是肤色与体育之间的政治经济关系。

黑人傲慢偏见，白人保守退却
看体育电影就是轻松啊。看网球的时候知道的大小威廉姆斯，没想到是贫民窟走出来的运动员。成功真的是各种因素促成的，不只是钱。
充滿了力量，眼淚不停流。整體其實比較平，Brandi和Richard的那一場對峙全場最佳。堅持和妥協之間，無非就是忍耐和尊重。
当成体育明星的传记片看，会收获失望。影片的重点是刻画一位带有瑕疵、偏执而又自负、坚持的父亲。与《摔跤吧，爸爸》对看，都加入了阶层（肤色）差异带来的现实审视，这部更强调明星父母的心理变化和斗争。
鸡娃鸡到这份上也只能说真牛逼（没有任何讽刺或者说反话的意思，是真牛逼）But，作为一个已经躺平了的人来说，鸡娃是什么，娃是什么，我过好自己的人生就真的够了啊！
个人评价：

三位天使投资人故事，父亲理查德、教练里克、以及 Nike。Nike 很聪明地在赛前 300 万美元押宝，结果被拒。赛后增加至 1500 万美元才签约。在投资体育明星方面，Nike 真有一套。

其实，是不是大威小威小时候的传记，已经不重要了。因为本片不叫《大威小威传》，它叫《国王理查德》。
