The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 放荡不羁之人为了荣誉接受母亲所安排的“挑战”，在欢呼声中斩下绿衣骑士的头颅，为人传颂，却根本不配成为骑士，他吝啬，他贪婪，他胆怯，他无视友谊，他禁不住诱惑，根本不是传奇中所描述的那般英武，直到将死之际，他看到虚伪的王位带来的毁灭与终究逃不脱的命运，他终于坦荡，昂起头颅，接受死亡，算是得以成长
质感感人。这种片扯故事讲内含谈所指那就陷入了导演中产阶级意淫的空虚之夹了。
挺好看，但是总觉得情感上还是缺点什么，不够饱满
洛维作为新生代文艺片导演，显示了他对于影像的把控能力。本片也值得写入今年影史的作品。

看不到大银幕有点遗憾，影像包括用光都很棒。
因为没有背景而看得一知半解。但前半部分灰白中凋亡一代文学大师、送别和平年代，迎来欧洲分崩离析的那些别扭的、撕扯的记忆，高至诺奖获奖者也需要漫长等待才能魂归故里。也因此对这个作家和他的《钉子》起了兴趣。
