The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 不过就我个人来言，这份包装精美且超级延长的童话故事还挺合我胃口的。可惜剧本打磨的不充足，如果再丰满一些，配上这般顶级的制作，效果一定会好上不少。
设定有点无语 浑身的泡泡和美人鱼身上的脓包有什么区别...
与同为表现阿兹海默症父亲、视听语言设计精巧的困在时间里的父亲对比，这个片更像一个导演大学毕业的习作。视听风格前半段写实后半段突然飘起来，什么内心幻像啊都来了，就跟打本格本打一半换成变格一样，有点费思量……
哎，生活的无奈还是拍出来了，可太过刻意。这片子里就没一个好男人。

对于处女作品来说，拍出来就已经是一个很大的胜利，把一个故事拍好拍透，需要做很多事，细节的处理及人物的刻划，同时要兼顾整体。2021年10月17日
抛开剧情不谈，都挺牛逼的，巨人同款流畅运镜给一星，精致的作画水平给一星，泽野大神的史诗音乐给一星。

很平常的家庭故事，唯独公园烟饼那场戏有些突兀，而且最后一场戏多余了，女儿给父亲洗澡是全片亮点。两位老人演技很自然；年轻演员台本痕迹过重，没有生活逻辑。掌机的情绪节奏控制太差。
从故事到感慨，都拍出来了，其他的话都是多余了
割裂感。老年演员和中青年演员表演的割裂、顺畅的长镜头和做作的台词/频频响起的配乐的割裂、结尾恐怖类型片的拍摄手法和现实主义定位的割裂。最有趣的，反而是映后见面会，生动地描绘了当下独立电影导演的生存现状——资本和政府的夹缝中苟延残喘

真的是醉了，自从《你的名字》大火之后，霓虹剧场版动画这几年怎么竟是用天马行空的世界观和设定用来谈恋爱？？？一流的作画和让人心醉神迷的泡泡滤镜，都拯救不了空洞拉胯的故事性……
在广州看了导演映后场，片中有几处戏份还挺触动我的。
