The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 在滴答声的催促下，焦虑和不甘油然而生，朋友的成功，女友为生活做出的妥协都是一声声的质问，唯有梦想与坚持能换来精神的富足。加菲的歌喉和演技得到了完美的释放，精妙的剪辑让两部音乐剧此起彼伏。但是剧本的情感冲击力略显不足。
很喜欢这部里关于友情和爱情的一些美好与不圆满，比男主本身的创作经历更吸引人
剧情一般，演员长相一般，歌曲也不好听，等了2个小时，一直在等一首抓耳的歌，结果也没等到，不知道为啥这么高的分。
不会有人在意那些落下的不同步调者，
音乐剧电影最关键的是歌要好听，然而这部没有。加菲怎么有一点点像脸叔了!
而那些强行想要扣题和拔高立意的部分，也因整体影像感的缺失而失效。
作为路人粉觉得无功无过，作为音乐电影应该在镜头、艺术设计上多加功夫，电影明显更像一部舞台剧，倒是加菲的表演提升了一个档次。

削弱了我对歌舞片的好感，以自我（梦想）为中心的人，他的身上并没有光。相反，该片不断用29岁奔三的年龄焦虑来表达逐梦的急迫，急到好像有躁狂症一样，没有与梦想和衰老和解的追梦人，狭隘到令人疲倦。所以我无法被他激励，他也不是好的榜样。

影片结尾，拉森却重整旗鼓，开始创作《吉屋出租》。就是这个瞬间，对我的冲击力太大了。看完影片我其实不会觉得拉森可怜，甚至有些羡慕他。
