The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 个人觉得一般，拳击+集中营+自我救赎摆在一起，三块内容都没有真正达到极致的高潮，都在相互铺垫，却又都在相互牵绊。它的影像风格也是如此，二战背景的黑白和被解救离开集中营后的彩色交织在一起，跟直白的划分开了年代和主角的蜕变，但是不断的倒叙和插叙事实上起到的对影片的提升作用有限，有的地方甚至是拖了叙事的后腿，更多的倒像是导演在炫耀自己的技巧。
故事虽然简单，但不难看，以为会有父辈的故事后续，没想到就这样结束
越来越对欧美文化产品警惕，这片子没有夹带什么私货，看完了心情轻松舒畅稍显兴奋，也就够了。 片子探讨了父辈与前辈对后辈的阴影，三个主要人物都在寻找自己。当然，结局肯定是守护者获胜，破坏者出局，那个鲨手在片中注定不能突破新的自我。
这片不摔角粉丝向根本不能看。

人物动作有些不流畅/怪兽形象还能更好/除此之外没什么大挑剔的
辜负了影片营造的出色时代感 浪费了演员为片减重的职业精神
剧情简单且单薄，对怪兽无感就一点意思都没有了
故事有点空洞…有点无聊，没有什么要说的故事，没有新意。
