7.0/10 美术还是很不错的。非常私人的作者电影，本质上充斥的是怀旧情绪，缅怀了一去不复返的往昔。最后主角的阶级跌落形成一个完整的闭环，但已经与noir没太大关系了，而与nostalgic有关，从A故事上看他是被动的选择回归，但从B故事上看他必然回到马戏团这个场所，只有这样才能找回归属感，因为那是他无法逃离的“家”，这可能也是德托罗为什么执意要把第一幕写的这么长，最终回到原点即是以最病态的方式怀念旧时光。 #补标#

当你陷入了一种狂热的地步不能自拔的时候，你还能告诉自己马上结束吗。self destructive trait is on everyone
托罗应该有更为复杂的叙事方法，但他选择讲故事平铺开来，也没有选择如今年很多电影一样加上章节标志，人物也都是速写和粗线条的刻画。前一小时的很多镜头仅仅为了展示精致的美术，而结尾足够残忍。时不时出现的反法西斯战况也没增强现实感和年代感，整体更像精心编织的一个黑暗童话。
男主前半段看着比后半段聪明太多，有种铺陈了很多就这的感觉
不難看，但可能剪成幾集電視劇放上netflix效果更好
能让我一口气看完这么长的电影，说明这部电影还是很不错。马戏团的戏份凸显导演个人趣味，但实在过于冗长，应当大力删减。凯特布兰切特演绎的蛇蝎女人，是所有演员中发挥最好的。最佳的应该就是摄影了！
