The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 情节内容和顺序上的调整，补强了原故事的逻辑链条，只是睡了杀人凶手那个最大的bug之一还是原封不动的照搬了过来。也加入了一定的底层白人困境、与移民的冲突和女性主义等当代改良元素。只是这样的话还有必要拍歌舞片吗？歌舞片段的表现力远及不上当年的话，倒还不如改编成一个当代故事剧情片。
特别精致，调度工作做的很足，但缺乏一股创新感，光线风格讲究戏剧感，缺乏真实性

政治正确终于到了华人身上我很欣慰，石破天荒，但是这个也太难让人相信了……毕竟男主的脸也太寒碜……尤其是那个羽绒服和发型，我死了……
歌舞拍的是不错，但这故事实在是太过狗血，欣赏不来，难道文化差异？

安妮特持续ptsd中，简直是灾难级的歌舞片。怎么这片子还能冲奥…别唱了！别唱了！吵死了！烦死了！难听死了！(捂耳朵)
乏善可陈，除了制作很精美，斯皮尔伯格的调度很出色，这故事可实在接受无能。俩主角哪有配角出彩，男主角看着有点笨重，Riff多带派。

请教朋友怎么欣赏音乐剧电影，他说“语言无法表达时就唱，唱歌无法表达时就舞，赏心悦目就好”。在没有看过老版的情况下，本片观赏性还是挺强的，光影和色彩俱佳，有色裔演员们的唱跳好听好看，大师级别的运镜锦上添花，纽约西城罗密欧与朱丽叶的故事，莎翁每个板斧都按部就班地砸台子上了，要说有点失落的是期待斯皮有不同时代语境下的改编算是落空了。
