The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 比1好，虽然徐克给残酷的战争披上了一层浪漫主义的面纱，但作品整体风格更统一，动作场面更有层次感，文戏也撕掉了一层保鲜膜，显得真实细腻了很多。
依旧是从头打到尾的大猛片。从开头全景式战争戏，到抢炮大战，炮轰机场，到水门桥之战，到飞机扔燃烧弹，再到二炸水门桥。毫不吝啬火药，就是个打。足够火爆，悲壮。
本片比第一部更好，镜头更稳定，为国战斗的侠义精神更加突显。是一部合格的史诗终章！
