The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 以音乐为背景，透过重金属摇滚乐来宣泄青春时代的躁动。有些情绪，确实只有通过摇滚才能精准传达。
最后的音乐画龙点睛，
披着重金属的青春喜剧，笑点还是有的，比较中二，特别喜欢女孩车边羞涩的打招呼那一幕。不过剧情比较老套，整体不够硬核重金属
三星半，超可爱，女主被bully完全没道理，那么美。
比较欢乐，也比较平庸，实在可惜了金属题材。其实可以做得更戏谑
因为家庭原因造就的狂热的金属少年，人畜无害的爆裂鼓手，易冲动的大提琴手。这个组合在一起总会擦出不一样的火花。在流行乐和现象级乐队充斥的环境里金属乐显得是那样的格格不入，但是金属精神就是要打碎这一切的偏见和轻视，用实力去征服他们。

毫无新鲜度，一眼望到头，类比摇滚学校，但更尬，还缺少了功夫熊猫那种人格魅力。一个半小时的内容比不上皮囊第五季第二集45分钟刻画的金属党生动有趣。大佬客串算有点惊喜，大提琴替贝斯算有点巧思(@Apocalyptica)，其他的就看一乐，可用作入门，金属党不会喜欢。另外金属电影里好像都喜欢把黑金用在主角最低谷时的发泄或堕落，想通了就不玩了，这样多了似乎对黑金有一丝偏见
