The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 略微沉重，有那么点蝴蝶效应的味道，一言一行都注定了后来的惨剧。感觉好像没做错，又觉得好像都错了。
所以故事并没有像所说的那样枪战片，更多是文戏啊
本来可以拍的精彩绝伦，可惜编剧功力不够，全片看完竟然没有一句令人深刻的台词能回味，如果配角是以警察的身份切入而不是一个可有可无的记者身份，最后推理出每次杀人的细节，不是更有说服力！
6.5+，有点虚张声势。通篇好像讲了什么，结果有什么都没讲。但是，如果是真的，那么这跨度十数年的复仇 真的是细思极恐的。这也是阳谋胜于阴谋的原因，我就是要看你明知道结局却无能为力的样子。
什么玩意儿啊！浪费时间！故弄玄虚，装神弄鬼，还惊悚还悬疑，哪儿有悬疑？？？？哪儿？？？不就平铺直叙吗，没有任何反转 而且逻辑也是漏洞百出，因为自己的错杀了女主全家，一点线索都没有？都不去找？光靠问？女主被杀了全家这么多年了最后才去死来解决？？才去和杀人凶手聊我不理解？？？

情节太离谱，精神病碰撞出的火花。这部电影宣传的是宗教邪门儿，给你一种冥冥之中的注定。仇恨的情绪与精神分裂相互作用，一系列毫无关系的死亡被强行附加进来，其实无关，却让男女主和观众感到有关。
一个很有意思的故事。一位女孩与作家的故事，当亲人相继遇害，是意外还是有预谋的报复？作家就是凶手，从他向楼下使眼色暗示女主自杀的那一刻，就暴露了他的内心，他一直处心积虑的给别人心理暗示，以达成他的报复目的。
已婚男人出轨失败，错的都是小三，他是白莲花
一开始导向纯粹的视听情境，核心事件对主角失去了吸引力，大量“不知从何结束，又不知从何开始”的非理性剪辑，又以一种非常human的虚无主义观点去打破感觉-运动的关联。之后电影则变得精神分析起来，它先是来到了《新秩序》的反面，不是实在界之力冲破了符号现实的壁垒，而是符号秩序对主体的永恒支配：尽管选择放弃家人、金钱和身份，主角还是命运般地被指派到符号网络的一个点位，接受来自大他者的惩罚。而最后的反转又将电影推向了所谓崇高化的问题：这份超然并非凭空得来，是生理性死亡的预兆给予了他面对符号性死亡的勇气。在两次死亡的中间地带，或站在那只被解刨的猪的位置，Neil以异世的姿态迎接自己的命运
美美的海边景色 大起大落的情节设定 有点儿冷漠有点儿无奈又有点儿脱俗
我觉得不错的一部电影。害人自有报应，只是这个报应太惨烈了。男主说的是对的，是你三番二次地暗示了我，所以才有那一次的行为，且并不过分，仅那一次就让一个美好的家破妻亡女死！如果男主是多次性骚扰，说他是渣男，告他是可以的，那一次算吗？所以才有后来的天怒！这种报复说他是有计划的预谋？还是天道轮回？我的看法是天道。试想她兄弟父母之死，男主有能力毫无破绽的实现吗？审一审两个作案的凶手就知了，女主曾经说过辨别磨茹有无毒菌父亲是好手，结果就是这个磨茹要了父亲的命！难道是男主所为？强壮的救生员哥哥溺水而亡，隐密的被救人又是谁？没有下文，以男主的身体素质在这方面想要加害她兄弟不太可能的。然而女主在哥哥母亲遇害前都发现了男主曾经在现场见过，是巧合还是偶然？还是报应？我觉得就是天怒！结局，或许就是男人主的报复！
今年最佳大爽片，编剧牛逼，反派角色牛逼，坏人太多了一环接一环，各自打自己的小算盘，悬疑感笑料娱乐元素十足，演技全程在线，摄影全程在线。内华达拉斯维加斯警局故事，黑色幽默有点儿昆丁的感觉，但没太血腥。一个警局场所拍的如此细腻，杀入警局那场戏估计能载入影史，警局到最后还有点儿生化危机浣熊市PD的感觉，目测能入围一个最佳编剧最佳男配。
很舒服。叙事的节奏，日常的活动慢节奏一幕幕地过，不是在交代什么，呈现一种状态，然后出来一种节奏，这种节奏是导演想给出的东西。导演也喜欢节奏一下来个突变，他不要起伏，一层层铺上去再滑下来，那种，婉转的东西，他就是突然来一下，开一枪，然后立马回到原来的慢节奏，这很有意思。
“你一直在给我暗示”嗯哼，作家觉得这是以牙还牙了？非常的不行，没头没尾的，名字叫天怒，结果一直讲巧合，偶然，因果，信佛呢？
