基本上是轻喜剧版的骡子，东木大爷拍这部已经完全是一种老小孩的状态了，轻松诙谐，拍电影这件事对于已经90多岁的人来说已经是一个传奇了，老牛仔风姿仍存.
比预期要好，东木的影片向来情感真挚，可总少不了一丝说教味，在车上与男孩的对话是一种自嘲，对于牛仔/硬汉精神开始进行思考，在精神上有了一丝突破，期待他今后的创作方向。

不忍看荧幕上风烛残年的颤巍巍老东木，对于他最后的作品，我的感觉就像片中老人对警长代理人老婆的狗所表达的话：I don't know how to cure"old"同样的意思。
从黄金三镖客中那个丑家伙的那句“金发小子不会有事的，He's young and strong”依稀已经过去快60年了吧...

电影本身两星都够呛，但是还能看到老东木，就不敢再做奢求。
去墨西哥时汽车与奔马并行的镜头掌控、配乐及片尾曲的选择，足见功力。
《廊桥遗梦》后最温柔的伊斯特伍德，没有了野心和热血，只有一个耄耋老者的娓娓道来。结尾那段话借角色回首自己辉煌的一生，眼前又浮现出《黄金三镖客》里那个叼着烟卷的牛仔。东木，请继续拍下去。

片子的气质，是晚年的老人的自我感动，脑中剩下对曾经的遗憾和意气风发的回望。
老了，真的老了。最早看的一部他的片子是火线狙击。
