山西人对故土的留念、对家的羁绊是刻在基因深处的，影片围绕身患阿尔兹海默症的父亲来表现生命、死亡、时间等个问题透过一个女性视角来展现。导演在虚实结合里找到了一种对家的依恋，对于家庭成员陪伴的一种方式。死亡是一种到下一阶段的解脱，而如何面对人生的这场来去归途则是影片留给所有人的一次思考。
