The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. ryan的笑话就是典型的反套路的套路，然后变成一种套路。拯救世界的主题没什么意思，反而是有关亲情的时间旅行比较有趣，娱乐性十足的下饭电影。
《失控玩家》导演肖恩利维联手网飞的新片，死侍和绿巨人演父子可真是太有喜感了，看起来是科幻的时空穿越实际上是是很多插科打诨的关于亲情的合家欢。看网络上说此片也是2021年拍摄的，疫情下的影院真的需要这种能安抚人温暖人的娱乐性强的电影。
作为一部网飞出品，明星云集的电影，他已经远超我预期了。当爹了之后对这种父子亲情的电影毫无抵抗能力，就算再烂也能看的泪眼婆娑。
没有好的创意就不要去拍科幻片了。上世纪七八十年代就被拍烂的题材，现在还要拿出来新瓶装旧酒。枯燥、乏味、无趣。漏洞太多，让人无力吐糟。也就看看网飞的钞能力，一众漫威再就业的卡司以及还算不错的特效。

打着时间穿越科幻题材的幌子说一个关于珍惜身边人（亲情）的故事。另外小贱贱一见钟情黑人卡魔拉，绿巨人是死侍爸爸就离谱！网飞流水线故事设定，反派死于话多的老套情节真的不要在放了！
感觉九十年代以后这种傻乎乎的合家欢快乐科幻片就越来越稀少了呢，不得不为情感加上一星。
Weak story, but hey, cute kid.
瑞恩雷诺兹一如既往的幽默。酒吧那场戏很奇妙，不知道是自己儿子，却能感受到爱。
烂俗剧情，某方面拍成了一个儿童片，反派塑造得太弱了，就是一个妈妈桑带几个打手，然后被中年、童年男主不断调戏收拾，最后吃花生米的故事。反派这个婊样，凭什么分裂世界？！
人类的建设破坏了森林的栖息地，动物们集体迁徙，在人类的城市，遇到流浪猫团、老鼠父子、兽医父女、清运老爷爷和狗、还有看到动物慌张的市民和尽职的警察，最主要的是鸡妈妈漂亮利落的身手和保护孩子的智慧，萌萌哒的小鸡让人的心都化了，家的铭牌走哪挂哪，太暖了。一家三口喜欢的。
4星鼓励，最后三只坏流浪猫也被收养了，细节好评
这个片子的色调不错……
一如既往的虎头蛇尾，奈飞的电影套路就是找大牌影星，短期拍摄完成，快速收回成本，其实挺败人品的，这阵容好好打磨一下剧本多好，可惜
前边不错，与母亲酒吧对话那段很感动，加一星，中后就太无聊了，，感情戏拍的多好啊 干嘛瞎拍那么多毫无创新的俗套科幻动作戏呢
所有时间穿越题材的电影，没一部让我觉得把悖论解释的令人信服满意的。
你以为在看科幻片，但其实你在看亲情片（。 没错，又是一部披着科幻外衣但本质是在讲主角的亲子关系以及治愈童年寻回自我的电影（我为什么要说又）。但这一部吧，故事讲得不如星际穿越，特效大场面又不如明日之战，整一个不上不下无功无过，略鸡肋。
流畅的行活，流畅到不怎么讲道理。比新蜘蛛侠好看。
科學性應該太艱難的hard background所以用了最顯淺的方法來解釋於是變了想幌子一樣.但可以順利彌補 / 2nd chance get... 還求甚麼.能跟無法再見的人講了應該要講的話,比甚麼科學物理都來得重要
就是剧情无趣，几个动物的造型可以说是平庸还有些惊悚。反正后面的还在十几分后就开始跳来跳去的蹦跶了
