The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 四星半。片子会带给不同人不同的解读，可以有反对对性工作者遭遇的美化，可以有反对支持性服务合法化的观点，也可以看到，正是基于片中女主自我探索的过程，才无法让角色性别互换，恰恰是因为这种性别安排，更巧妙的展现了女性的困境，性只是表象，枷锁的束缚与解除才是内核。艾玛汤普森演技太棒了。

层次非常丰富的百老汇舞台剧，大到人道主义，小到个人友情、爱情；从种族问题讲到女性、LGBT群体的社会接纳；有生离死别，也有相遇重逢。正如剧中所唱，一些东西失去了，另一些被建立起来了。整部剧的基调是自由主义式的，或许这才是正确对抗恐怖主义的途径。用融合代替隔离，用积极代替阴郁，用好好生活代替暴力反应。（观影时间：2021年10月6日；自评：8.3；推荐指数：★★★★★）

好喜欢。去追求浮于现实之上的一切，fantasy，pleasure，而不是执着于现实的泥沼。
1，女性真的是……买春的时候都不忘做别人的救赎者；2，放下意识的束缚身体才能跟上啊~3，哪里有里奥，我也想要！
最后的几分钟有点意思。高端鸭。我更希望这一切都是男主预料之中的，包括争吵以及和他弟弟坦白并告诉女主，目的就是引起女主的共鸣而最后达到高潮。这或许也是他热爱这份工作的成就感。
节奏很紧凑，在一个小空间内能把一个互帮互助的紧急事件演的幽默又感动。

在糖衣包裹的梦幻之后又拔高到另一个层面了。普通人能够共情的角度太多，说教的态度又非常温和，看到的现实都变得有些浪漫了起来。

多人分饰多角的形式除了经济效率外，在阐释故事的团结和谐主题也有一定的符号化作用。适合放在小屏幕上的百老汇，故事视觉化、篇幅也短。
