The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 就冲大爷对狗狗的爱，心眼儿就坏不到哪去。亲情不只是血缘关系才算。我就不多剧透了，最后大爷的忏悔让电影升华到了一个新高度。愣是给我看哭了。
这部传记片分两部分，前半部分是男主及其家人，在面对梦想难以达成的困境时，如何坚持下去，后半部分是男主在成为球手，并逐渐步入正轨后的一些状态，整体并没有完全聚焦于他是如何在球场上面的谋略与叱咤风云，更多的是在展示家庭对他的影响和帮助，在各种磕磕绊绊中成长，也很好了升华了影片“不要放弃”的内核，相较于以往那些凸显如何奋斗和战胜困难的励志片，本片其实更像是一段回顾过去的心灵之旅，虽然可惜没看到更多男主的在球场上的战斗，但在生活中的战斗依然让人十分受用，而且男主妻子其中那个残疾的儿子，也完全呼应着男主遇到的困境与低谷，这也让影片更加值得回味了，也就是结尾真实画面里男主的原型在受访时的宗教言辞让人觉得稍有不喜，因为真正创造草根逆袭和奇迹的，一直都是他自己。另，男主原型和扮演者都好帅啊！
退伍老兵在上一部面对Rocky说你没有孩子你不懂为人父母的心情，其实三个小偷里面只有Rocky是有孩子的，铤而走险几经三番落下赔偿款还是回头钱比命重要，心里想这一笔横财拿到手就可以带女儿离开这里过更好的生活；第二部更是验证了这句话，抢劫案后老兵捡到一个从火场生还的小女孩并当自己的女儿抚养她，8年后Phoenix已经进入青春期，回到已如坟地被烧毁的家，亲生父亲也找了过来，Phoenix想象不到一直想挣脱老兵自私固执的封闭式教育方式，以为回到亲生父母身边就会过和其他人一样普通孩子的生活，没想到亲生爸爸找她回来是为了她的心脏，因为Phoenix的妈妈在那场火灾中心脏受感染，如果不和至亲移植心脏的话就会因器官衰竭死亡，老兵这8年教会了Phoenix的不仅仅是逃生还有自卫，砍掉亲生母亲的手杀死亲生爸爸
盲人老头的战斗力又加强了不少，且手段还是那么狠辣，没有第一部压迫感强，但全片的紧张节奏还是一直保持，而且新出现的小女孩也是亮点，但是更血腥了有没有，小女孩为求生拿着长柄西瓜刀剁毒妈妈手臂直接看傻了有没有，看样子有续集，瞎子战神老兵的气场太强了
7.5，相比第一部差太多，没有第一部那种让人窒息的感觉，瞎老头也变成抗日神剧主角，无所不能，不知道还以为是能红外定位，响尾蛇侠；第一部是因为惊险屏住呼吸，第二部只能是因为血腥了，往隔山有眼这类电影方向发展了，现在年纪大了看不得这种

不要杀约翰维克的狗，不要惹连姆尼森的女儿，不要杀杰森斯坦森的儿子，现在动作片定律又多了一条：不要闯退伍瞎眼老兵的房子。第二部彻底沦为了普通的复仇动作片，剧情简单到一句话就能概括，也没有了第一部心提到嗓子眼的紧张氛围，不过节奏很快，一些小bug可以忽略不计，比如小孩的心脏移植给大人好像不能存活吧。

编剧太会写了，虽然第一部我就共情瞎老爹，但如何把反派形象深入人心的角色塑造成“正派”甚至“英雄”，就非常考编剧功力了，在合理化人物思维和身份转变这点上，我觉得编剧做的不错，救赎主题虽然俗套，却永远可以打动人心，反正我是为这个血腥版《这个杀手不太冷》的故事撒了一筐眼泪。小凤这个角色也十分出彩，要知道，在普遍仇孩的欧美电影里看到一个不作妖不作死的孩子有多难得，更难得的是这孩子还特么没有政治正确白左圣母等等令人作呕的毛病，开篇躲避贩毒集团就智商爆表，最后挥刀断血缘更是酷毙了。以及我宣布，近五年内，瞎老爹就是美国荧幕上最硬的硬汉！
PS：竟然把男主洗白了。
作为NFL最励志的传奇，华叔的故事终于搬上了荧幕。本作的表现可谓四平八稳，讲述了科特华纳如何从一个落选新秀到成为Super Bowl MVP的历程，选取的片段也很有代表性，如在UNI的比赛学会留在口袋，在Arena Footbal的比赛学会快速出手，以及第一次NFL首发对阵雷神。同时也花了大量笔墨介绍他的家庭，特别是和他妻子的相遇以及互相扶持。全片传达的思想也很明确：If you have only one shot, you should be ready when the opportunity comes to you.

商业片其实比艺术片难拍多了，前者需要调动一切手段刺激观众，维持新鲜感，后者靠文本符号堆砌一定厚度即可完成任务。前半段延续前作，一座屋子，漆黑中只剩听觉运作，利用室内布局及家具，在方寸之地上演蛇鼠游戏。后半段颠覆前作，场景置换，角色从反派翻转为守护人，似乎一切再次落入窠臼。继续好莱坞B级动作片真理之别惹狗。
