The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 情节比较没头脑，偶尔煽情偶尔碎碎念，冲着Mark Ruffalo看的，特典型的Netflix制作
喜欢看NBA,字母真的是天赋满满，但毫无疑问，他真的是极其努力的巨星。

字母哥一家的故事虽然字母哥哥和字母弟有沾光但是 NBA 能有一门三杰特别是能出一个字母哥这样的人物真是传奇。字母哥还那么年轻有机会挑战历史前十五到前十。以前看他的故事说签了球队以后也是包士和跑步去球馆看过他的故事这头希腊怪兽真的不容易。
拍的有点拉胯，满是大棚制作，没什么外景，比起网飞拍亚当桑德勒的那个，就真不行了，运动励志传记片，一定得有那种澎湃的荷尔蒙，正儿八经的运动过程，从头到尾都在大棚里，景也假，真正在球场上的东西展现的也不多，所以就乏味

都把反派这么杀死了，还在莫名其妙要遵守时空定律的原因我是没有看出来。既然是穿越时空，好歹把逻辑理一下。
希望那些喷子可以睁大眼睛来看看这部电影，看看这位励志的NBA巨星，并不是他们眼中的人品差的人。
电影只讲了从1991年圣诞起夜到BOXING DAY 的这三天。
能看出来k很用力，但可惜表演有点刻意过分了

节奏上有问题 前边一直絮叨剧情都被卖惨水完了 到后边该燃了没时间了 不是不能讲背景故事 主要是这种片吧我是抱着想看字母哥打球的初衷来的 结果职业起飞中最重要的一节它都不给看 直接一句“他制霸了全场”就忽悠过去 糊弄学大师本师了
把电影套路成了杀时间肥皂剧。可以一边做饭一边当背景音，看了一半第二天继续看也可以，完全没有立刻需要看完知道结局的感觉。因为都是套路。
挺好的 字母也是我很喜欢的球员 但故事有点平淡 蛮感人的只能说
把光剑还有打斗的部分去掉，增加一些家庭戏会更好一些
