The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 原本还因为是be本能有点不喜欢这部恶心人的后传，结果看到了男主死的原因又感觉很合理，挣扎了这么久的ankh也终于复活了，可以说是一命换一命吧，女主十年过去依然是新十年最漂亮的，这部比起wizard那个恶心人的剧场版可是好太多了
打五星不是因为它有多么好，相反它相当烂，东大妈竟然连90分钟的电影标准都没到就有勇气出，恰恰证明了是有我这种傻逼脑残粉愿意买单。ps：十年过去了渡部秀和三浦凉介还是配到让我发癫。

一个钟不到的时长，你说是电影吧我觉得更像是短篇吧，彩虹鸟靓到无野好讲，至于剩下那几个新皮套emmm也就那样吧，虽然感觉玩具还是会照样出[捂脸]

连同核心硬币复活的还有：OOO再版CSM，BirthCSM，鸟盾CSM，永恒鸟真骨雕、OOO王真骨雕，GODA真骨雕，Ankh完全体真骨雕。小到三蛋十周年，大到三虫同框，本质都是为fans提供新一轮的文化消费，出更多的周边。所以从商业框架去看待特摄或漫威，比从电影框架内去批判它更合理些。
贯穿整个OOO的是欲望，映司恨自己没有力量，所以生出来的Goda也是贪婪于力量。而作为Ankh，原本厌恶情感的他在最后关头泪流满面，一块冷冰冰的硬币明白了情感。大团圆的结局谁都想要，可以世上哪有那么多大团圆，悲与喜是相衬的，没有悲的冷戚，怎么对比出喜的欢乐，这是一个很好的结局，纵使它是悲剧
相对于本篇对于映司追求的「自我」，安库追求的「生命」来说，剧场版并没有对这些继续探讨下去。安库的那句「你该抓住的手，已经不是我了」在这里显得仿佛虚无。假面骑士本就是悲情英雄，不过下一次，希望悲情的有所意义。
映司的旅行结束了。

毛利你真的很努力了，写出来的剧本也就这样了，属于是一些先确定好结局然后往一小时里塞，最后不要靠近外传🚬这刀子多是一件美逝

最后死的结局倒是可以接受，但是没有剧版那么顺滑，算是满足一下情怀吧，无语！我喜欢的骑士怎么在后来出场的故事里都死了！不能接受！我都要怀疑渡部秀你是不是真的喜欢凉介了！
一个现实中很沉重的中年话题故事被讲述得有趣又好笑，但是又不失苦涩感。第一次看天海佑希演这种被生活折磨得焦头烂额的中年女性，非常惊喜。
