The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? I have no words it’s so well made in every single aspect. I loved the witches, the birds, the leaves, the girl in the water, the monologue. Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington are THE actors of their generation. Will need a rewatch with subtitles in the future.

3.5黑白光影运用，剪辑手法有特色。更多的像一出背叛，复仇的舞台剧。
4.现代种族价值的改编，黑人的加入，多了点政治正确。
但感觉没什么角度
科恩采用表现主义，却又把古典表现得过于古典，反而少了一些新意
新版麦克白变成了麦克黑。每一帧的构图、用光都无可挑剔，视觉效果实在牛逼，没得个技术奖项有点说不过去。奥斯卡影帝和影后妥妥沦为道具人，成了剧本和摄影的陪衬。
看的是105分钟足本。黑人演员好多呀，这回政治正确了。在黑白片里一点都不显肤色。
如果只是把莎翁的剧本一板一眼影像化而没有呈现什么新的东西，那这样的电影又有什么看的必要呢，唯有享受台词以及两位主角的表演了吧。7/10

沃卓斯基兄弟已废，科恩兄弟依然从未让我失望过。黑白色调、极简风格、典雅台词，深入内心的野心、恐惧与癫狂。丹泽尔.华盛顿还是这么的稳。
摄影、美术非常独特于以往写实的电影改编，把话剧做到了极致的电影化，明显的表现主义的风格。大全景下渺小的人物、倾斜的构图、心理暗示的置景、独特的转场、乌鸦群飞。无不让人想到奥逊威尔斯改编过的莎士比亚，看起来像是一个双重致敬。除此之外，这便是一部可以在文学、剧作课上放的教学片，抛弃了现有的电影工业元素，或许是对古典戏剧改编电影最好的处理方式了吧。
和奥逊·威尔斯那版的《麦克白》相比，故事讲得更丝滑、更工整，但是情感却显得如此的单薄。形式上的美大于一切吧。相较于丹泽尔·华盛顿扮演的麦克白，麦克多蒙德扮演的麦克白夫人更出彩一些。
