The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 关于黄金时代的回忆。欣欣向荣的国家，无忧无虑的童年，星辰大海的梦想，充满无限可能性的未来。甚至让我也回想起我的青少年时期，90、00年代生机勃勃的中国，虽然当时举国上下的热情投向的是财富而不是太空。可惜人类没有走进一个曾经憧憬过的未来。盛景难在，尽管人类1969年已登上月球，但自1972年12月阿波罗17号返回地球之后，再也没有人回到那里。
