The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 个人层面对施虐行为的救赎，国家层面对关塔那摩的反思，还赌上了一个年轻人的前途（输了）。女主的戏份有点莫名其妙。有点真诚的悔罪书，艺术性不太够的电影。

施来德拍的还是很稳，Bill这个有着不光彩过去但是急切想洗心革面的人物塑造的很成功，人物性格习惯设置合理，细节全部到位。虽然是赌场为背景，但是完全跟赌博没关系，赌博完全服务于人物塑造。片子整体有一种七八十年代电影的老派沉稳，但是永不过时的feel。PS，Oscar的屁股也太翘太好看了吧。
看着还不错的卡司阵容，装得特深沉地演了个B级片。

我觉得把最后34分钟截掉，反而是个比较完整的故事～～
虽然我看的很懵,但是这个影像风格实在是太强了
就冲着 Oscar Issac 可以用眼睛飙演技，没白看
算牌只是份技能，但电影更多讲的是沉浸过去的痛苦回忆，复仇和救赎。

可惜的是，畸变的画面将创伤展现得很好，理解和爱的说服力则没那么强。

加害者与受害者一体的创伤后遗症呈现，可是真的好枯燥好无聊。
AMC 谜之故事，谜之摄影，谜之配乐，最谜的还是感情戏和女主的服装，怀疑造型师把所有精力都放在了Isaac身上了。

往事虽然过去，但是记忆过不去;暴力已经成为往事，但是躯体里已然充满暴力，想要达到心理平衡是多么困难的事，打牌赌钱，奔波往来，都无济于事
《海边的曼彻斯特》姊妹篇。Tell是一尊中空的雕像，被剥夺了一切行为的原动力，所有向好的苗头甫一出生便被掐死，永远活在过去的罪愆和痛感中，余下的人生于他只是pass the time，极度伤感，又无可奈何。
