The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 色调是灰暗的，故事结构是可以的，我一直在想为什么电影中的父亲不愿意相信女儿，最后还是妈妈给予了女儿支持，也许还是由于父权文化影响，女孩就应当保守矜持，如果聚会出了事，也是咎由自取，但情感上的冲击力可以更强些，背景音乐上的渲染，或者演员的表现，剧情的冲突性可以更强一些，会更震撼些。剧中让我很印象深刻的是女主躺在复印机上，扫描自己的胎记，第一次知道复印机可以这么用

刚开始看我还觉得男主女主的这种为彼此生活争吵又离不开对方的状态还是蛮真实的 到后面又是得病又是私生子的 有事吗 就剧情而言是想给两星的 但是男主女主真的太养眼了 附赠一颗星吧
狗血剧情，混乱的上一代关系造就了敏感没有安全感的下一代。。。看着再和和美美的两个人，也会有两个人的问题，坦诚，信任永远是情侣间必须要迈过的一道坎，不论什么原因出于什么好心，隐瞒，欺骗只会产生更深的误会，更大的隔阂。。

反映校园内偷拍行为的，本来有个不错的故事框架，但导演却不满足于只是一个简单的故事，想让影片更加丰富，因此不断地将许多的东西填充进去，又要突出某种主题，而编导的手法又很稚嫩，故事讲述得累赘而不聪明，再加上女主角根本不会演戏，永远只是一个姿势一种表情，更让影片显得冗长而无趣。从剧情来看，女主的遭遇与其性格密切相关。她的许多行为及处理问题的方式，都显得她相当的幼稚与涉世不深。人生总是充满险恶，尤如战场一般。这就是残酷的现实。保护好自己，是让自己人生少风险的基本要求。
又是一众大牌，酝出一坨屎，现在无聊且多余话唠好像是好莱坞的招牌了。廉价又低级的动作喜剧，剧情已经不强求了，但是连笑料都做不好

越看越怀疑人生，动不动就吵架怀疑，每次都要互相刺激，真的看得好累。男主的爱情真的要不起，不是你死就是我死
刚开头那些亚热带油绿的植物和充满热带风情的party令人忍不住神往东南亚。但到了女主的家庭，父亲对内装逼专制，对外怂逼一个，这种典型的亚洲社會令人顿时阳痿
每一部都要来个大瓜，这个系列跟小时代似的。。
没怎么看过印尼的片子，故事还行，也有一些现实意义，也还不错。

太长了。开头还不错，但随着编导想表达的东西越来越多，到后面就变得令人难以忍耐了
好像片头从美高梅和福克斯变成奈飞就是一眨眼的事情，但也要感谢奈飞让我们有机会看到更多非传统意义上电影大国的作品，虽然不一样文化拍出来的作品又好像变得越来越像了。节奏偏慢，拍得冗长，剧情也基本上在预料之中。复印机的意象不够强烈，深度还可以再挖掘。
这要是欧美拍的，画面一定更大胆，这要是攀龙附凤的话，还有点安东尼奥尼放大的意思，前面还非常好
挺让我震撼的，影片聚焦的这个事件只是这种类型事件的冰山一角吧。叫《Yellow Copies》也不错～
剧情新颖，故事框架完整，演员的方面也不错。适合晚上自己看的悬疑片。剧情可能有点慢热，但是细细评味却也能让人细思极恐。
