The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 巧了结合俄乌战争，好及时好牛的片，这是不是俄罗斯承认的乌克兰独立的俩地区，那一切关系就懂了，烈日阳光下，罪恶发生得那么赤裸裸，当地国民军，世界各地自由反独立群体，还有趁机作乱的暴徒，不能一时判断谁是好人谁是坏人，未来历史会评判一切，但是老百姓何其无辜啊，这个片还着重描述几次老百姓被炸的场景，看了真让人难过，所谓国民军被称为所谓的搞独立分子，直到最后一刻才有俄友军帮忙，也没啥用，或许他们的武器是俄提供的？总之希望世界和平。
我怀疑卢卡这个角色是在映射某个真实存在的人物 一个被阿富汗退役老兵联盟除名的退伍军人 他在冲突爆发后加入了乌克兰右翼民团并且犯下了战争罪行 和片子里的角色多少有几分相似
画面把童年的所有能记住的记忆点都描绘的不错
又一部大导拍童年往事系列，但说到底都是私人情感，是无从真实经历又无法真正感同身受的特定语境。
电影血肉模糊的呈现了一场发生在地球另一边的战争。

既然俄罗斯宣称，2014年或者之前在乌克兰东部发生纳粹式的种族屠杀。那俄罗斯2014年为啥占领的是乌克兰南部的克里米亚呢？
开始只觉得画风好看，叙述杂乱不知道要说什么。但是看完之后才品味到这清甜淡茶的后劲儿。ps原来美国孩子的童年记忆也有在车上睡觉，被父母抱回家。
那个年代确实是时代迅速发展的年代，我看的更多的像是传记电影，去了解那时候人们的童年。
听，风雪喧嚷，看，流星在飞翔；我的心向我呼唤： 去动荡的远方。” 看了这部电影，我彻底明白了为什么顿涅茨克人民共和国的紧急情况部部歌也选择的是《歌唱动荡的青春》，因为他们在和白匪军、和纳粹分子、和法西斯作战！
结尾又又又是广告，好家伙。

这个就是俄罗斯角度或者亲俄角度的乌克兰问题吧...所谓的纳粹应该指的是这个角度下的针对俄语人群的驱逐和灭绝之类的,以及对小孩的战争和亲欧洲灌输...当然,从亲欧角度来说,就是对主权分离势力的合理打击...翻了下Wikipedia的词条大致是亲欧的立场,里面也提到了对平民的攻击,只不过说法变成了亲俄势力的恐吓行为,以谋求民众疏远抵抗..."这大概就是兴百姓苦,亡百姓苦"...
如果只是为了和大毛分家，所以一定要以种族来分？这多年，血液早已融合了，即使历史原因让这个国家曾经饿死了人民，你可以独立，如果只是一味的依靠敌人的敌人，不自立自强，只会在历史洪流中被淹没

属于那种拍的还行，但用宝贵的空闲时间看会后悔的类型
紧跟时事，现今乌俄开战，媒体消息铺天盖地，舆论战的时代没有真相，兴亡百姓苦。可美国就是要恶心人，也不得不战。我想也只有外星生物攻占地球时，人类才能停止内斗吧。
感觉“阿富汗战友”的时间和年龄的设定有bug。
